Sylvite Agri-Services

Sylvite Agri-Services was founded in 1985 and formerly known as Cold Springs Agri-Services. Sylvite purchased another partner's interest in Cold Springs in 1999 and became the sole shareholders of the renamed Sylvite Agri-Services. Sylvite Agri-Services sells fertilizer to both wholesale and retail customers, markets crop protection products, feed, seed, feed additives and farm supplies in southwestern Ontario. Sylvite Agri-Services also provides a number of agricultural services, including grain elevation and drying, agronomic consulting to the grower and warehousing and handling for fertilizer manufacturers.

Sylvite Sales Inc.

Sylvite Sales Inc.was formed in 1977 and began to rapidly position itself as an independent and reliable supplier of fertilizer ingredients. The product line was expanded over the years to include a number of fertilizer ingredients beyond the original potash products. A few years ago, Sylvite Sales Inc. began to seek industrial markets in addition to the core business of agricultural inputs sourcing and distribution. Sylvite Sales sources fertilizer products globally, which are distributed in Canada via the Company's port, terminal storage and distribution network.

Sylvite Transportation

Sylvite Transportation was formed in the 2001 purchase of the heavy haul business of Norris Transport. Rail, water and road transportation logistics are important components of Sylvite's other businesses. Potential logistics synergies and filling the supply chain void for a number of Sylvite customers was the rationale supporting the formation of this division. During 2004, the Sylvite name replaced Norris and a rapid expansion of products and services began, including: van, refrigerated, logistics, cartage and warehouse in addition to the existing heavy haul business.
